Subject:SELIS project in the 31st UN/CEFACT Forum

The SELIS project  coordinated by Inlecom, participated in the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and E-business UN/CEFACT 31st Forum. The event took place at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland, between the 23rd and the 27th April 2018.

High in the list of the Forum’s priorities were the advancement of important projects and domain activities including a series of new projects to be conducted within the framework of the UN/CEFACT programme of work; the liaison and cooperation activities with other organizations (governmental as well as industry and standards consortia); and the advancement of UN/CEFACT’s current and forthcoming technical framework.

SELIS team members lead the new Programme Development Activity (PDA) entitled “Buy-Ship-Pay Reference Data Model” Project for a complete and focused subset of the UN Core Component Library (CCL) aiming to cover the needs of the entire buy-ship-pay model and enable better coordination and harmonization between the International Supply Chain RDM and the Multi-Modal Transport RDM. The project was introduced at the conference.

Further, and as part of the discussion, the SELIS project partner CONEX, presented the SELIS objectives and capacity building program in the Transport and Logistics domain, at the session where the proposed Data Pipeline Exchange Structure (PDES) standard, the Multi Modal Transport Reference Data Model and Buy-Ship-Pay Reference Data Model projects were also presented. These exchange standards are being used in the SELIS Living Labs, which are organised large scale realistic demonstrators, driving, testing and providing feedback to the SELIS project outputs, for defining the standardised data exchange structures. The SELIS project presentation generated interest and discussions between the participants attending the session.
